Have you ever been scared to take the next step toward achieving your goals? If the answer is no, you may need to re-examine your goals.

Most goals are hard to accomplish. They require blood, sweat, and sometimes tears. That’s why they’re goals and not simply items on your to-do list.

It’s easy get scared about the next step, especially when you have big goals. Too often, we put our dreams on hold or abandon them all together. We’d rather just give up than do the hard thing.

Today I’m challenging you to move forward despite your fears!

In 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first human to step on the moon. He famously said, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

I can’t imagine how scary that must have been. First, just to launch yourself up into space in the first place. Then, to step out of the lunar landing module and on to the surface of the moon.

If Armstrong was scared, he didn’t let his fear stand in the way of progress. He still took that small step, so mankind could make a giant leap.

Over the last few months, I’ve taken some big steps in my business. I’m getting ready to take some more big steps in the next few months. Some of them are scary because they might not work, meaning the loss of time and money.

Here’s the thing: failure is possible when you take those big steps, but it’s guaranteed when you don’t.

So, as we get ready for the new year, be brave. Step out and step forward toward your goals. Don’t let fear guarantee failure for you and your goals.
